Wing Contest, Kids Clinic Highlight Spring Game Festivities

Kids Clinic starts at Noon, Kickoff is 2:00 p.m.

The annual University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Football Spring Game is set for Saturday, April 23, at Finley Stadium.  Kickoff is 2:00 p.m. (E.D.T.), but the day is filled with a number of exciting events for Mocs fans of all ages.

Head coach Russ Huesman and his staff are bringing back the FREE Kids Clinic for the eighth year.  Preregistration begins at 11:45 a.m. at the field entrance by the home locker room.  All youth, eighth grade and under, are invited to attend the clinic put on by the Mocs football players and coaches.  Parents can pre-register participants by clicking here.

New to the Spring Game is the Mocs Football Wing Cook-Off.  Anyone with a grill and some wings can put their culinary skills on the line for a celebrity judging panel that includes Coach Huesman, Sporttalk's Scott McMahen and other local dignitaries.

The top three wings, according to our judges, will each win a Green Egg Grill.  You must preregister for the Wing Cook-Off by clicking here and filling out the form

Set up for the Wing Cook-Off begins as early as 8:00 a.m. on 19th street on the south side of the Stadium.  The street is closed for the day for the wing contest and anyone who wants to tailgate.  There will be a D.J. on site providing music during the cook-off.  Winners will be announced inside the stadium at halftime of the game.

The Mocs Club is also hosting an Open House in the Stadium Club from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  This is a chance for all fans to come and enjoy light refreshments and door prizes while mingling with Mocs staff and coaches.

Also at halftime, the 2015 seniors receive their Southern Conference Championship Rings.  Following the game, Coach Huesman will hand out the annual Bob Davis Winter Warrior Award, along with Offensive and Defensive MVP Honors.

Throughout the day, fans have a chance to pick any open seats in the reserved area for the 2016 season.  Representatives from the UTC Mocs Club will be on hand to answer any questions about supporting your Mocs for the 2016 season.

The afternoon concludes with an autograph session with coaches and players on the field.
