The Chattanooga Mocs look to build on their second-place performance opening the spring in Mobile this week at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team look to build on their strong second-place finish at Mobile to open the spring. Their next opportunity is Monday and Tuesday at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate.
The two-day, 54-hole event is played at Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C. The par 70, 6,700-yard tract is recognized as the fourth oldest golf club in the country.
The lineup includes Wes Gosselin (72.59), Andrew Weathers (73.93), Brooks Thomas (74.59), Kory Webb (75.88) and Lake Johnson (76.59). Johnson, a freshman from Chattanooga, is coming off his first top 10 finish tying for eighth in Mobile.
Chattanooga is one of 18 teams in this year's field. It includes two top 5 squads in No. 2 Wake Forest and No. 4 Auburn. Five of those currently rank in Golfstat's top 50: No. 22 South Carolina, No. 26 Virginia, No. 35 Augusta, No. 43 N.C. State and No. 45 East Carolina.
