CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball team has officially announced the complete schedule for the upcoming 2018 season including the annual Frost Classic and Chattanooga Challenge held at Frost Stadium.

In addition to the pair of tournaments, Chattanooga will host SEC-power Auburn for a May 6
th doubleheader on the final weekend of the regular season. A total of 25 home games inside Frost Stadium are slated for 2018.

The Mocs will kick-off the season in Monroe, La., as part of the ULM Invitational (Feb. 9-11). They'll face Stephen F. Austin in the opener on Feb. 9.

"The schedule rolls around pretty fast and we're excited to open up the season at the UL-Monroe tournament against some great teams," said head coach
Frank Reed.

Chattanooga will return to the Scenic City for the next two weekends to host the Chattanooga Challenge (Feb. 16-18) and Frost Classic (Feb. 23-25) inside Frost Stadium. Western Kentucky, Eastern Illinois and Tennessee Tech, among others, round out the field. Â

"We always keep our fingers crossed for the weather when we host the Chattanooga Challenge and Frost Classic. We're excited to be at home against some really good teams for two weekends," added Reed.

Following the home stand, UTC will head to Oxford, Miss., to participate in the Ole Miss Classic (Mar. 2-4) before coming back to Frost Stadium for a single game against Belmont on March 7 at 6 p.m.

Chattanooga will take an extended ten-day Florida trip to play in the USF Invitational from March 9 to March 18 in Clearwater. They'll face 11 different opponents in those ten days.

"That'll wrap up the first half of our season and most of our non-conference schedule. It's a very aggressive non-conference schedule and that's something we are really excited about."

The Mocs will begin Southern Conference play at home on March 24-25 with a three-game weekend series against Mercer inside Frost Stadium. Other home conference opponents include regular season champion Furman (April 14-15) and tournament champion ETSU (April 28-29).

Chattanooga will host non-conference foes Austin Peay on April 4, UAB on April 11 and Tennessee State on April 18 in-between SoCon series. Tennessee Tech (April 24) and Georgia State (May 2) are slated to be the road non-conference opponents.

The final series of the regular season will be a Sunday doubleheader against SEC power Auburn on May 6 beginning at 2 p.m.
