ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
GREENSBORO, N.C.---The Chattanooga Mocs ended their fall slate with a seventh-place finish at the Grandover Collegiate. The final tally was 310 on Grandover Resort's East Course.
The 901 total was six behind sixth-place Michigan State at 895. The Mocs finished three clear of East Carolina in eighth at 904. Virginia Tech (907) and Rutgers (915) rounded out the top 10.
Lake Johnson and
Will Porter led the way with 77s today.
Oliver Simonsen and
Dominic Jones each turned in 78s for the 901 as
Etienne Brault's 81 was dropped. Individuals
Connor Nolan,
Moritz Lammel and
Leon Bader carded 79, 82 and 82, respectively.
Nolan was the low Moc overall tying for 15th with 221. Simonsen and Johnson joined him in the top 20 tying for 20th at 223.
Will Porter (225) tied for 30th two more strokes behind the duo.
UNCG won the event on its home course. The Spartans shot 869 besting Liberty (879) by 10. Northwestern's David Nyfjall was medalist at 5 under.

3 NOTES TO KNOW
- The Mocs 10 over score today on the par 3s is greater than any total tournament score this season. Team counters entered the day 17 over for the previous 14 rounds.
- Team-best 14 birdies over the two days for Nolan marks the seventh time a Moc finished a tourney with 12 or more. Simonsen (3 times), Porter (twice) and Bader (once).
- Today's 310 and the 901 total are highest 18 and 54-hole scores in 2018-19. Chattanooga was 26 under over their previous three events.
