2) Details
Senior
Joshua Phillips has been a revelation since joining the team Thanksgiving week after two years with the football program. After starting his collegiate career with three years on the hoops squad at Middle Tennessee, he joined UTC football in 2016. He was thrust onto the hardcourt due to injury starting all 17 games in league play. He's averaging 9.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per SoCon game and is coming off his third career double-double Friday with 17 points and 10 boards at UNCG. Phillips has more points (164) and rebounds (110) in 17 SOCON games than his 65-game, 3-year career at Middle Tennessee (83/107).

4) SoCon Seeding Scenarios
Every Southern Conference contest Sunday affects tournament seeding and this is no different. The winner of the Mocs-Keydets game is the nine seed facing The Citadel. The loser is the 10 seed meeting Samford or Western Carolina. Those games are Friday first round matchups in Asheville.
The winner of the 8-9 game meets the top seed, while 7-10 matches up with the 2. ETSU/UNCG are set as the 1-2. If they remain tied in first, the winner of Mercer-Wofford decides the order; ETSU if Mercer wins or UNCG if the Terriers triumph. The 3, 4 & 5 are decided between Furman, Wofford and Mercer. Furman is the 3 with a win over ETSU or a Mercer win at Wofford. Wofford is the 3 if it defeats the Bears and ETSU topples Furman.
Mercer is locked in to the 4-5 contest while it awaits its jersey color. Western Carolina is the 6th seed with a win over The Citadel. Samford can get the bye spot with a win at UNCG and Catamounts loss.
5) Three Notes to Notice
- Makale Foreman is 12th nationally in total minutes played (1,065), 64 behind leader Matthew Butler (UT Martin).

- Phillips has 33 points and 23 rebounds in his last two road games (at Furman & at UNCG).
