Keionta Davis ('16) is one of a handful former Football Championship Subdivision players set to compete in Super Bowl LIII. Athlon Sports full article on the FCS Players in the Super Bowl is

Davis was a two-time All-American at UTC who played for the Mocs from 2013-16. He was the 2016 Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year, finishing ninth in the voting for the Buck Buchanan Award.
"I'm sure it's every football player's dream to make it to the Super Bowl," stated Davis. "But there is more to it than just making it and that's what I'm looking forward to.
"I know everybody back home is rooting for us. What makes it even more special for me personally is the opportunity to bring one back to my hometown that helped put me in this position."
After graduating with a degree in Business in December 2016, Davis was signed by the New England Patriots. He was on the injured reserve for the Patriots' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in last year's game.
The only other Mocs to play in the Super Bowl are Marrio Grier and Terrell Owens. Grier played for the Patriots in the Super Bowl XXXI loss to the Green Bay Packers on Jan. 26, 1997.
Owens had one on the more memorable performances in history with the Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX on Feb. 6, 2005. Playing on an injured ankle, he caught nine passes for 122 yards in Philadelphia's 24-21 loss to New England.
Former UTC defensive lineman and 2018 UTC Athletics Hall of Fame Inductee Tony Hill won a Super Bowl Ring with the Dallas Cowboys. He played in five games in the regular season, and was active on the playoff roster, but was on injured reserve for the Jan. 31, 1993 Super Bowl against Buffalo and did not play in the game.
