3 NOTES TO KNOW
- Hawkins Arena is the site of a hard-fought series of games since Mercer's insertion in the SoCon mix in 2014-15. They went down to the wire in each of the five visits. Chattanooga is 2-3 with three ending in overtime. Cumulative tally: 358-354 in favor of the Bears.
- With a win, it's the first four-game win streak since a string of five in a row in 2016-17. The fourth win in that streak was a 70-68 nail-biter at Mercer with the Mocs winning on a defensive stop as 3-time SoCon Defensive Player of the Year Justin Tuoyo switched onto Bears leading scorer & guard R'ian Holland blocking his 3pt attempt inside 10 seconds to play in a 69-66 contest.
- 7-0 when out-rebounding opponents. Mercer is 0-5 when out-boarded.
