CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf program closes its three-tournament fall slate this weekend in midstate Tennessee. The squad makes its first appearance in the Intercollegiate at the Grove in College Grove between Murfreesboro and Franklin.
The two-day, 36-hole event hosted by Middle Tennessee is at the Grove Club. The Grove plays at par 72 with a length of 7,368 yards. The format is the new normal of six team members playing together in two threesomes with the best four scores counting.
The lineup is also the new normal, at least for the fall portion. A.J. Lintunen, Oliver Simonsen, Dominic Jones, Matt Smith and Connor Nolan all stayed based on their performance in the first two events. Leon Bader earned his spot through a third straight qualifying effort. Moritz Lammel is playing as an individual.
Lintunen captured his first win last time out at the Poston Invitational. He topped Simonsen by one stroke. Smith (5) and Nolan (T6) recorded top 10s. Jones has been steady in the first two outings as well ranking third on the squad in scoring average.

- A.J. Lintunen is off to a great start to the fall with his first career win last time out to go with a top 5 in the opener at the Honors Course. He set new career bests for 18 (65), 36 (136) and 54-hole (207) score winning the J.T. Poston Invite.
- Three top 5 finishes and four in the top at the Poston Invite. Last time with a 1-2 finish, three in the top 5 and four top 10 was winning the 2012 Southern Conference Championship: Stephan Jaeger (1), Chris Robb (T2), Steven Fox (T4) & Liam Johnston (T10).
- Lintunen's good run started last season. He's averaging 71.90 strokes per round over his last 21 cards turning in 54-hole scores of 216, 218, 215, 217, 217, 220 & 207 shooting just 1 over for the seven events.
