TEAM
- The Chattanooga Mocs moved to 2-0 with a 62-54 win at Tennessee Tech tonight … the Golden Eagles fell to 0-2.

- TTU used a 9-0 run midway through the second half to build a 48-44 lead with 7:48 left to play.

- The Mocs defense kicked in after a pair of TTU FTs gave them a 52-48 lead with 4:57 left … from there, UTC closed the game on a 14-2 run.

- Tonight was game No. 100 for UTC head coach Lamont Paris … 44-56 (4th Season).

- 60th meeting in the series with Tennessee Tech … Mocs are 20-40 … 6-28 in Cookeville … won three of last four since 2015...tied for 10th longest series with VMI...3rd-longest with a team that the Mocs never shared a conference with behind Tennessee Wesleyan (68) and Sunday's opponent Middle Tennessee (65)...record is now 20-40, 6-28 in Cookeville…first win at Tennessee Tech since Dec. 15, 1988, a 90-86 overtime battle. It was just the 17th meeting in the Mocs 44 seasons at the DI level with a 10-7 advantage to the good guys over that span. 

- Mocs trailed 25-24 at the half … 8-40 when trailing at the break under Paris. 

- UTC shot 30.8% (20-65) from the field … lowest FG% in a win since shooting 30.4% (21-69) in a 67-51 win over West Virginia State on Dec. 17, 1998.

- Forced 13 steals tonight … most since 13 in a 95-62 win over Hiwassee on Nov. 27, 2018 … most against a DI opponent since 14 in a 77-65 win over Western Caroline on Feb. 4, 2017.

- 12 points on 5-19 shooting, 1-9 from 3-pt. range.
- Added five boards and four steals.

Stefan Kenic – Sr.-F
- 11 points on 2-11 shooting, 0-4 from three and 7-9 from the FT line.
- Added seven boards.

Malachi Smith – So.-G
- Team highs with 15 points and career-high 14 rebounds.
- Second-straight double-double.
- First Moc in the DI era (Since 1977-78) to start the season with back-to-back doubles-doubles.
- Also added career-best five steals.
- Shot 4-11 from the field, 0-2 from three and 7-7 from the FT line.
