TEAM
- The Mocs scored an 81-63 win over NCAA Division II North Georgia today … Mocs improve to 6-0 on the year. 

- Mocs are 6-0 for the first time since the 1974-75 season when the began the year 7-0 … other two 6-0 starts at UTC came in 1973-74 (8-0) and 1972-73 (7-0) … first time 6-0 in the DI era for the Mocs (since 1977-78).

- This game counts as an exhibition for North Georgia, who is 0-3 in such contests this season … Nighthawks also lost at Mercer (79-48) and Georgia (84-62) … UNG officially opens the season Jan. 6 at home in a Peach Belt Conference matchup with Flagler.

- UTC shot 18-27 (66.7%) from the field and 6-10 (60%) from three in the first half … Stefan Kenic (6-6, 2-2 3pt. FG) and A.J. Caldwell (5-5, 2-2 3-pt FG) combined to go 11-11 from the field and 4-4 from three in the first half.    

- 29-57 (50.9%) from the field for the game … second time this season shooting 50% or better … 19-6 under head coach Lamont Paris when shooting 50% or higher from the field.

- Just 1-11 from three in the second half.

- Mocs led by 30 (60-30) with 15:43 left to play … UNG got as close a 14 (75-61) with 5:01 left to play.

INDIVIDUAL
A.J. Caldwell – Jr.-G
- 15 points on 6-7 shooting, 3-4 from 3-pt. range.
- Second game in a row with 15 points.
- 12 points on 5-5 shooting, 2-2 from three, in the first half.
- Also had four boards and two steals in the first 20 minutes.
- Finished with seven rebounds.
- 11-16 (68.8%) from the field last two games.
- 8-12 (66.7%) from three last two games.

Trey Doomes – Jr.-G
- Season-high 11 points off the bench … all in the first half.
- Second game in double-figures this season … fifth in his career.
- Played 18 minutes.
- Shot 3-5 from the field, 1-2 from three and 4-5 from the line.
- Tied for game-high with a season-high four assists.

Stefan Kenić – Sr.-F
- Game-high and career-high 23 points.
- First 20-point game of his career.
- Fifth game in double-figures this season.
- Shot 7-14 from the field, 2-5 from three and 7-7 from the FT line.
- Added five boards.
- 15 points on 6-6 shooting, 2-2 from three and 1-1 from the FT line in the first half.  
- Need 103 points to reach 1,000 as a collegian - 280 at Chattanooga & 617 with Cleveland State.

Malachi Smith – So.-G
- Fifth double-double of the season with 19 points and a game-high 13 boards.
- Five double-doubles in his first six games … first Moc of the DI era (since 1977-78) to do that.
- Led the team in rebounding each game … averaging 11.5 per game.
