TEAM
- The Mocs scored a 79-72 win over Northern Kentucky to move to 3-0 on the year … the Norse dropped to 2-1. 

- Mocs are 9-4 in the all-time series against Northern Kentucky and 7-0 at home. 

- 15th time the Mocs have started a season 3-0. The last was 2015-16 winning at Georgia and Illinois around a home win over Hiwassee. Streak was stopped at No. 4 Iowa State.

- UTC led 46-44 after NKU's Adrian Nelson scored in the paint with 12:24 left in the game … UTC then used a 13-0 run over the next four minutes to take control of the game.

- The game was not as close as the final score as the Mocs led by 15 (79-64) with 4:27 left to play … NKU had a five-point play on a made three and a foul underneath with 36 second left … the Norse then hit a three at the buzzer for the final tally. 

- Points off turnovers were big in this one … UTC score 29 points on 21 NKU miscues … the Mocs only gave up 13 on its 13 errors. 

- UTC came into the season 7-40 when trailing at the break under Lamont Paris … the Mocs have now won two in a row when down at the half … NKU was up 31-30 at halftime today … won three of last four dating back to the end of season (UNCG-SoCon Quarterfinals).

- Despite getting outrebounded 37-32, the Mocs outscored NKU in the paint 48-36.

- David Jean-Baptiste was 4-7 from three today … rest of the team was 0-7. 

- Mocs were 28-48 (.583) from inside the arc today … most made INSIDE the three-point line by the Mocs against a DI opponent since 29 in the 125-85 triumph over The Citadel on Feb. 1, 2016 (39 FG/10 3pt).

Trey Doomes – Jr.-G
- Season-high 10 points in 12 minutes off the bench.
- Shot 5-6 from the field.
- Added two boards and two steals.

David Jean-Baptiste – Sr.-G
- Tied a career-high with a season-high and game-high 25 points.
- 4th career 20-point game.
- Shot 8-14 from the field, 4-7 from three and 5-6 from the FT line.
- In the second half he was 7-16 from the field, 3-5 from three and 4-4 from the FT line.
- Added five boards and two steals.
- 19 points shy of being the 34th 1,000-point scorer at UTC.
- 100th career game today.  

Stefan Kenic – Sr.-F
- Season-high 17 points.
- Shot 8-11 from the field and 1-1 from the FT line.
- Career-high and game-high seven assists.
- Double-figures in all three games this season.

Malachi Smith – So.-G
- Team-high eight boards.
- Added six points and four assists.
