CLEARWATER, Fla. --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball team allowed four first inning runs, all unearned, and narrowly missed completing its comeback efforts during a 4-2 loss to Florida A&M at the Clearwater Tournament inside Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex on Sunday afternoon.
After plating a run in the top of the first, Chattanooga committed three errors and allowed two hits in the home half of the inning, allowing FAMU to jump out to a quick 4-1 lead. UTC would chip away with a run in the sixth but left the game-tying run stranded in scoring position on an inning-ending line out.
