Matt Smith and the Chattanooga Mocs host the Battle at Black Creek Monday and Tuesday in Chattanooga.

CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team completes its fall schedule hosting the Battle at Black Creek. The 17-team field invades the challenging Black Creek Club in the two-day, 54-hole event.
The Mocs are scheduled to send nine student-athletes to the tee this coming week. The starting lineup includes Paul Conroy Braedon Wear, Connor Nolan, Matt Smith and Leon Bader. Gabe Hunter, Parker Highsmith, Gage Winkler and Alex Cobb are entered as individuals.
Conroy and Wear are both off to strong starts. Conroy is 9 under with a 70.67 average over nine cards, while Wear is 5 under at 71.11 including his first collegiate win. The team is 21 under over the last six rounds posting 282.5 per 18.
It's the fourth start for Conroy, Wear, Nolan and Smith with the second for Bader. Hunter started the last two events but was edged out in qualifying. Highsmith and Winkler are making their second individual appearances as Cobb takes the tee for the first time in 2021-22.
Monday's shotgun start is at 9 a.m. The squads play in foursomes for the 36-hole day. The final 18 is Tuesday. Admission is free both days. Pairings link above when available.
