Another Southern Conference battle with Furman coming to town. There are five teams in the league race with four – Chattanooga (3-1), ETSU (4-1), Mercer (4-1) & VMI (3-1) – with one loss and one other, Furman (2-2) with two.

The Mocs lead the league and are eighth nationally in sacks (23 – 3.3/game). Furman leads the league and ranks among the nation's leaders in protecting the QB (5, 0.71). Keep an eye on
Devonnsha Maxwell who is third nationally in sacks (1.43/gm) and ninth in TFLs (1.7).
5) Three Notes to Notice
- Ailym Ford is 99 yards shy of 2,000 career yards (1,901). He (106.5) and Tyrell Price (80.3) average nearly 190 yards per game on the ground.
- Brandon Dowdell claimed his 11th career interception which is tied for sixth all-time with Kadeem Wise '13 and David McCrary '85…Lucas Webb '17, Phillip Aldridge '85 and Bucky Wolford '68 hold the record with 13…he's one ahead (5) of Jerrell Lawson (4) for the season lead.
- Devonnsha Maxwell is third all-time in sacks with 27, four behind second-place Keionta Davis '16 with 31. His 39.0 tackles for loss is also third behind Tull (60.0) and Davis (43.0). His 10 so far is 3.5 behind Keionta Davis' school-record 13.5 in 2015.
