Freshman Jessie Young.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team hosts a pair of matches at McCallie's Strang-Voges Tennis Center this weekend. The Mocs welcome UNC Asheville on Saturday, Feb. 6, followed by a Sunday dual with Presbyterian.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, fans will not be allowed at the match. Links for live scoring of both events are available on the women's tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com. McCallie's Playsight live videos are also available for each court by

First serve against the Bulldogs is set for 2:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) on Saturday. Sunday's dual is a morning affair, with play beginning at 10:00 a.m. against the Blue Hose.
"We are facing two quality programs this weekend," stated UTC head coach
Chad Camper. "Both have different styles of play, so the challenges will make the team stronger after the weekend is over."
UTC is 2-0 following 5-2 wins over UT Martin and Lee University to open the season. Freshman
Jessie Young is 2-0 at No. 1 in the spring and has a 7-3 singles record. The Mocs are looking to improve on the doubles side, having won just two of the six played in the spring.
"We are still improving and trying to see where everyone falls in the lineup," added Camper.
UNC Asheville opens its season tonight against Mars Hill. Presbyterian lost its season opener to Davidson, 7-0 on Jan. 30. The Blue hose visit Charlotte on Saturday before facing the Mocs.
UTC is 1-1 all-time against the Bulldogs, including a 4-3 loss in Asheville on Feb. 14, 2020. Juniors
Emma Van Hee and
Bogdana Zaporozhets and freshman
Callie Billman all had singles wins in last year's dual. Chattanooga won the other showing in the series, 7-0 at home on Jan. 24, 2009.
The is just the second meeting between the Mocs and the Blue Hose. UTC scored a 6-1 win over Presbyterian in last year's match on Feb. 29 in Clinton, S.C. Chattanooga took the doubles point and Young, Zaporozhets, Van Hee, Billman and sophomore
Polina Goloputova had singles wins.
Both matches this weekend are parts of double-headers with the men's team. Coach
Chuck Merzbacher's Mocs host Austin Peay at McCallie at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Belmont on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Live scoring links for both are available on the men's tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com.
