COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball team fell behind early and suffered its 11
th-straight loss in a 7-0 decision on the road at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tenn., on Wednesday night.

Following the loss, Chattanooga falls to 4-15 overall. TTU improved to 12-11 on the season and avenged two prior losses to UTC this season.

Chattanooga threatened in the top of the first when
Emily Coltharp led off the game with a single and
Kailey Snell followed with a walk. A foul out advanced Coltharp to third with one out before
Hayleigh Weissenbach grounded into an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play.

Tennessee Tech struck early off starting pitch
Kat Thompson, plating three runs in the bottom of the first with just one out, giving way to relief pitcher
Hannah Wood. The Golden Eagles continued the scoring in the second inning, scoring a trio of runs to extend the lead to 6-0.

Chattanooga was held without a hit over the final five innings and finished the game with just three hits. Coltharp (1-for-3),
Kendall Andrews (1-for-3) and Addy Keylon (1-for-2) provided the offense.

Thompson (1-4) suffered the loss in the circle after recording an out and allowing three runs (two) earned in her 12
th start of the season. Wood tossed 2.0 innings of relief and allowed five hits and three runs (all earned) while
Brooke Parrott added 3.2 innings, surrendering five hits and allowing just one earned run.
