CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs softball team failed to get things going at the plate for the second-straight day, suffering a doubleheader sweep to Green Bay and Butler, both by 5-0 scores, on Sunday afternoon inside Jim Frost Stadium.

Following the pair of losses, Chattanooga falls to 4-8 overall. Green Bay improved to 5-3 while Butler evened its record to 7-7 after the victory.

Green Bay struck first in the top of the second after a two-out fielding error allowed a run to score. The Phoenix added to its lead, 2-0, in the top of the fourth on a two-out RBI single from Crystal Guzman.

Chattanooga recorded just one hit over the first five innings of play and failed to find run support behind starting pitcher
Hannah Wood. In addition, the defense committed a pair of errors in the top of the fifth and allowed two earned runs to score, seeing the deficit to grow to 4-0.

After Green Bay added another run in the top of the sixth, the Mocs stranded a runner in the home half and then went down in order in the final frame, ultimately dropping a 5-0 contest.

Wood (2-2) suffered the loss in the circle despite tossing 5.0 innings and allowing just one earned run while striking out three.
Kat Thompson provided 2.0 innings of relief and surrendered just two hits and one earned run.

Chattanooga registered just two hits as a team during the loss.
Hayleigh Weissenbach finished 1-for-2 with a double while
Kailey Snell added a single in a 1-for-3 performance.

Butler scored a run in the top of the first on an RBI groundout to take an early 1-0 lead off starting pitcher
Kylie Coffin, who was making her first career start in the circle. The Bulldogs' Karli Ricketts blasted a three-run homer in the top of the third off reliever
Kat Thompson to push the visitors lead to 4-0.

Butler added a run in the top of the fourth on the help of a leadoff walk and RBI groundout, building its advantage to 5-0. Chattanooga mustered just three hits, all singles, while stranding five runners on base and suffering a shutout in consecutive games.
Coffin (0-1) suffered the loss in the circle in her first collegiate start, going 2.0 innings while allowing only one hit and one earned run and facing just two batters over the minimum.

Kendall Andrews posted her second career multi-hit game and first of the season, going 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, while
Kailey Snell extended her hit streak to six games behind a 1-for-3 performance at the dish.
