KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team saw the doubles tandem of Caroline Gibbens and Jessie Young advance to the main draw round of 16 during which highlighted a successful week at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional held in Knoxville, Tenn., and hosted by the University of Tennessee.

Gibbens and Young earned a pair of victories in the two qualifying rounds to advance to the main draw round of 32. The pair then defeated Belmont's Mariia Hlahola and Anastasyia Zholdakova by an 8-3 count to advance to the final 16.

In addition, Coco Bosman and Nicole Abel each earned victories in the singles qualifying round of 256. Bosman posted a 6-1, 1-6, 7-5 win over Zholdakova while Abel downed Dayton's Laura Greb, 6-1, 7-6 (2).

"Caroline and Jessie had a great run making it to the round of 16 in the main draw doubles," said head coach Chad Camper. "Every match we had this week was highly competitive and the team has finished our fall season goals.

"The spring season will be here soon, so still a lot to accomplish before January."

The women's program has concluded the fall season following this event as the originally scheduled SoCon Fall Championships set for next weekend have been canceled.
