CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs wrestling team hits the mat Sunday at the Boilermaker Duals in West Lafayette, Ind. Purdue hosts the tri-meet with the Mocs, Boilermakers, Northern Illinois and Cleveland State squaring off against each other.
Â
Chattanooga heads north a little healthier than the start down in Jacksonville. Nationally-rated matsmen in No. 25 Noah Castillo at 149 and 23rd-ranked Matthew Waddell at 184 are back after missing the opening weekend. They join No. 16 Rocky Jordan (174) and No. 27 Brayden Palmer (133) in leading the squad into three tough matches.

Palmer leads the team with eight points scored so far. Jordan is the lone undefeated Moc at 2-0. Dayne Dalrymple is tops in overall wins with six at the Citadel Open last week. He is looking to make his first dual appearance in relief of an injured

QUOTABLE
"It's an opportunity. We have three different levels of competition. And we can win them all, it's just a matter of going out there and out-pressuring, out-positioning and trying to out-physical our opponents. We need to enter the day that way and execute in our positions. If we do that, we set ourselves up to win individually and as a team."
– Coach Kyle Ruschell on the weekend ahead
Â
"We made it a point in practice to pressure our opponent, pressure our partner. Beat them up a little bit and stay in the hand fight, make the other guy make mistakes. I think we saw a huge improvement from week one to week two although they were different guys. I think the way that they're supposed to wrestle, I think they figured it out. Those were young guys (last week), but if you see the young guys starting to do, I think the old guys are already starting to do it. It's just a matter of executing the game plan and going out and wrestling hard."
– Ruschell on the work done after the opening weekend
