CHATTANOOGA --- With its magic number set to one, the Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team aims to clinch the Southern Conference regular season title and the top overall seed in the Southern Conference Tournament with a win when it faces UNCG on Thursday night inside McKenzie Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
Â
Chattanooga (22-5, 12-2 SoCon), who is coming off a huge 64-58 win at Furman on Saturday, can clinch at least a share of the conference regular season title with a win over UNCG on Thursday, or with a Furman loss at Western Carolina on Wednesday night. It would mark the third regular season crown since 1994 (excluding eight division titles over a 15+ year span).                                                                                                                Â
Â
UNCG (15-11, 7-7 SoCon) is jockeying for position heading into the SoCon Tournament in a few weeks as the Spartans currently sit in fourth place, one game back of VMI (8-6) in third and two games back of Furman (9-5) in second. UNCG saw a three-game win streak snapped on Sunday behind a 73-64 home loss to Mercer.
Â
The game vs. UNCG can be streamed on ESPN+ through the Watch ESPN platform. Fans can also listen LIVE on WFLI 96.1 FM/100.3 FM/1070 AM in Chattanooga as well as the Varsity Network app.                                                                                                    Â

RADIO NOTE: WFLI added 96.1 and 100.3 FM to their arsenal of stations. The previous agreement had the Mocs on 97.7 FM and 1070 AM which was a good base of operation. Starting this weekend, 96.1 takes the place of 97.7 while 100.3 is added. The change to 96.1 adds the audio reach by roughly 100,000 homes while 100.3 expands the overall coverage further north of the Tennessee River especially strengthening the signal in Hixson and Soddy-Daisy.
