CHATTANOOGA --- After dropping a pair of home contests last week with a chance to wrap up the Southern Conference regular season crown, the Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team hits the reset button ahead of a Wednesday night rivalry matchup at ETSU inside Freedom Hall in Johnson City, Tennessee. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
Â
Chattanooga (22-7, 12-4 SoCon) dropped back-to-back games for just the second time this season following tight losses to UNCG (L, 72-75) on Thursday and VMI (L, 75-80) on Saturday. Both games saw UTC dig an early hole in the first half that was just too large to climb out.
Â
With a win, the Mocs clinch the No. 1 seed at the Southern Conference Tournament and an automatic berth to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). In addition, a win would mark a program record 12
th road victory of the season. UTC is currently tied for the nation's most road wins at 11 with Navy.
Â
ETSU (14-15, 6-10 SoCon) enters the contest coming off a 77-67 road win over The Citadel on Saturday. The Bucs have won just two of their last nine games after breaking a five-game skid back on February 7 against Furman. All five games on the losing streak were separated by four points or less.
Â
The game at ETSU can be streamed on ESPN+ through the Watch ESPN platform. Fans can also listen LIVE on WFLI 96.1 FM/100.3 FM/1070 AM in Chattanooga as well as the Varsity Network app.
Â
STUDENT-ATHLETE WATCH PARTY
The UTC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be sponsoring a student-athlete watch party on the McKenzie Arena video board on Wednesday night as the Mocs take on the rival Bucs in hopes to clinch the regular season Southern Conference title. Student-athletes are encouraged to attend this fun event!

RADIO NOTE: WFLI added 96.1 and 100.3 FM to their arsenal of stations. The previous agreement had the Mocs on 97.7 FM and 1070 AM which was a good base of operation. Starting this weekend, 96.1 takes the place of 97.7 while 100.3 is added. The change to 96.1 adds the audio reach by roughly 100,000 homes while 100.3 expands the overall coverage further north of the Tennessee River especially strengthening the signal in Hixson and Soddy-Daisy.
