CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team is set to return to Southern Conference action this weekend when it hosts in-state rival ETSU on Saturday at the UTC Tennis Center on campus. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. ET.
Chattanooga is currently riding a five-match win streak and enters the weekend with a 10-5 overall mark and a perfect 2-0 tally in SoCon play. The Mocs are coming off a pair of home league wins last weekend after the squad defeated Wofford (5-2) and Western Carolina (7-0).
The team has been led by outstanding performances across the board.
Coco Bosman currently carries a seven-match win streak in singles play in addition to six-straight victories in doubles, partnering three times with
Emma Van Hee and three with
Callie Billman.
Van Hee has won her last five finished matches in singles play, all at the No. 4 slot, and has been victorious in her last six doubles matchups split between Bosman and
Nicole Abel. Abel has won her last four matches at No. 1 singles and her last four in doubles.
ETSU, a perennial league power, enters the conference matchup with an 11-7 overall record and perfect 3-0 tally in the SoCon. The three conference wins have come against Western Carolina (7-0), Wofford (7-0) and Mercer (6-1) in dominating fashion. ETSU defeated UTC 6-1 last season.
