CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team is set for a two-match road trip in the Palmetto State as the squad will face Southern Conference foe Furman on Saturday before matching up with Presbyterian in non-conference action on Sunday.
Saturday's match at Furman is set for an 11 a.m. start while Sunday's contest in Clinton carries a 10 a.m. start time. Both match times are EST.
Chattanooga enters the weekend with a 10-6 overall record and a 2-1 mark in SoCon play after seeing a five-match win streak snapped last Saturday to rival ETSU (L, 1-6). The squad has won its last three non-conference matches after rolling through the likes of Missouri State, UT Martin and Murray State earlier this month.
Furman, a perennial league favorite, heads into play this week as the No. 35 ranked team in NCAA Division I following March 30's latest ITA Team Rankings release. The Paladins carry a 12-6 overall record this season while holding a 1-0 tally in SoCon play.
Presbyterian looks to snap a two-match skid and improve on its 5-11 overall record this season. The Blue Hose have played to a 3-2 record inside Big South play which includes a three-match conference win streak from March 12 through March 19.
