Leon Bader and the Chattanooga Mocs head to the Mossy Oak Collegiate in the season’s final tune-up towards postseason play.

CHATTANOOGA---There it is. Just around the corner postseason play begins at the Southern Conference Championships. But before that happens for the Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team, the challenge at the Mossy Oak Collegiate awaits.
It's a stout test for the quintet of Paul Conroy, Braedon Wear, Alex Cobb, Connor Nolan and Leon Bader. The field features four in the top 20 – (3) Vanderbilt, (16) Auburn, (18) Florida State & (19) Ole Miss – and six total among the top 50 in the nation. The 19 teams tackle the par 72, 7,212-yard tract at Mossy Oak Golf Club in West Point, Miss.
Conroy leads Wear by 15 strokes for the season scoring title with a minimum of two tournament remaining. He's 10 over for the campaign looking to finish strong and become the fourth Mocs golfer all-time to post a par or better season with Jonathan Hodge's 9 under in 2008 coming before Stephan Jaeger's back-to-back in 2011 (-1) and 2012 (-22).
It's been a fierce fight all season for starting spots. This is the seventh different lineup in nine events. Conroy and Wear are fixtures with this serving as the eighth opening tee for Nolan. Cobb is making his fourth start, all in the last five, while Bader is on his third with two more individual appearances on his ledger.
It begins Monday at 9 a.m., (ET) with a shotgun start. The Mocs open on holes 16-18 with Louisiana, Lipscomb and individuals from Mississippi State. A final 18 begins Tuesday, also at 9 a.m., with pairings based on 36-hole results of holes one and 10.
It's the seventh trip to the event with the previous six (2014-19) played on the Old Waverly Course at the premier 36-hole venue. More on the history at the event below.
