WEST POINT, Miss.---The Chattanooga Mocs were scheduled to play 36 holes Monday. They got in around 34, but the opening 18 was good to the group, especially senior Connor Nolan.
 
Nolan fired a 4-under 68 tying his low round of the season and one off his career low card. That was good enough to tie for the lead after 18 holes leading the Mocs to seventh at 3-over 291 at the Mossy Oak Collegiate.
 
Paul Conroy added 73 with Alex Cobb another shot back at 74. Braedon Wear's 76 closed out the team score with Leon Bader providing the drop tally of 83.
 
The second 18 had the Mocs at 2 over through 15-16 holes per live scoring. Wear had to withdraw during the round so the group is down to four players. Conroy, Cobb and Bader are all 1 under with Nolan at plus 5.
 
Based on the first round scores, third-ranked Vanderbilt leads with 280. That's one better than host Mississippi State in second at 281. Nolan is tied with Nick Wolf (Middle Tennessee) and Hunter Logan (MSU) at 68.

The field will finish round two before starting the final 18 Tuesday morning in the same shotgun start pairings from today. Live scoring and pairings, when available, are linked above along with the Mocs detailed results package.
