CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs are growing. Vice-Chancellor
Mark Wharton announced new hires for the department on Friday cover a number of areas from development to sports medicine. It's a wide range of hires that replace recent departures as well as augment the growing reality of the department as a whole.

The hires include the areas of development, ticketing, support staff and sports medicine.
Walker Rolen joins the team in as the assistant athletics director for development from Louisiana where he was in charge of annual giving for the Ragin' Cajuns. He takes on this vital role with experience at UL, Rice and Troy.

Chase Brock comes to the Scenic City as the assistant director of ticketing from Bowling Green where he served as interim director of tickets. This is a new role adapted from past positions within the department combining with recently minted head of athletic ticketing
Mike Jackson.
Harriett Whitaker also is on board as an administrative assistant working with the men's basketball, soccer, wrestling and track/cross country programs.

The remaining new Mocs come in sports medicine. Former intern
Caroline Bass earned a full-time role as an assistant athletics trainer working with the soccer and tennis programs.
Josh Petty took on the other open assistant spot focused on the wrestling and spirit squads. Three interns joined as well including
Keli Briner (volleyball/beach volleyball),
Christina Landrum (football and tennis) and
Destiny Wilhite (cross country/track and football).

The Chattanooga Mocs opens the 2022 football season on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 6 p.m., in a Southern Conference matchup with Wofford. Season tickets are on sale now for as little as $60. Go to
