Josh Petty enters his third season at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2024-25, serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the wrestling and tennis programs. Before arriving at UTC, Josh was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at East Tennessee State University working with the football and men’s tennis programs from 2020-2022.
He previously worked as an Intern Athletic Trainer at Louisiana Tech with the football and women’s bowling programs from 2018-2020. Josh also completed a summer internship with the Los Angeles Rams in the summer of 2017.
Josh earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from East Tennessee State University in 2016 and his Master's of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2018. Josh is certified in Fascial Abrasion Technique, RockTape IASTM and Master Dry Needling Level 1.
Joshua is originally from nearby Soddy Daisy, Tenn., and in his free time he enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and golfing. He arrived to UTC along with his wife, MaKinzie, and dog, Phoenix.
