Men’s Basketball Concludes Three-Game SoCon Road Trip at UNCG on Wednesday

CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team concludes its three-game road trip to kick off the Southern Conference slate when it travels to Greensboro, N.C., to face UNCG on Wednesday night inside the Greensboro Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Chattanooga (9-6, 1-1 SoCon) is coming off a dominant 80-51 drubbing at Mercer last Saturday in which the 29-point victory marked the fourth-largest win in a SoCon road contest in program history. The Mocs bounced back from Thursday's loss at The Citadel with a balanced attack that saw seven different players score at least seven points in the win over the Bears.

Jamal Johnson continued his hot scoring streak with his third-straight 20-plus effort on Saturday, finishing with 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting (3-of-7 3PT) in addition to tying a career high in rebounds with eight. Johnson has connected on at least three three-pointers in each of the last seven games.

UNCG (8-7, 2-0 SoCon) enter the contest on Wednesday one of just three unbeaten teams in the league (Samford & ETSU, 2-0) after earning a pair of road wins at Western Carolina (72-47) and Wofford (73-64) to open the conference season. The Spartans lead the SoCon this season in scoring defense (64.4 ppg) which is over three points better than the second-place Bucs of ETSU.
