CHATTANOOGA (Dec. 21, 2023) --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team looks to continue its momentum from Tuesday night's thriller with its final game before the holiday break, traveling to face Horizon League member Milwaukee for a Friday afternoon clash inside UWM Panther Arena. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
 
Chattanooga (8-3) is riding a three-game win streak after Tuesday night's 69-66 comeback win over Gardner-Webb that featured a game-winning, half-court buzzer beater from Trey Bonham (in his home debut) after the squad erased a 13-point second half deficit. The shot heard around the country was featured as the No. 1 play on Sportscenter's Top 10 list for the day and has garnered nearly 1M views across all social media platforms (WATCH).
 
Milwaukee (4-7) looks to respond from an 80-67 home loss to Longwood last Wednesday as it was the team's fourth defeat in the last five contests. Battling injuries this season, the Panthers were picked No. 2 in the Horizon League preseason poll while featuring guard/forward BJ Freeman on the all-league team.

BONHAM'S MAGIC GIVES UTC 69-66 WIN OVER GWU
Chattanooga (7-3) picked up its third-straight win after Trey Bonham, in his home debut, knocked down a buzzer-beating, half-court shot to claim a 69-66 winner over Gardner-Webb on Tuesday night inside McKenzie Arena. The Mocs erased a 17-point, first-half deficit in the win as Bonham's buzzer-beater was the first for a Moc at home since 2010. The miracle shot was placed at No. 1 on Sportscenter's Top 10 Plays on Tuesday night.
 
CHATTANOOGA/MILWAUKEE HISTORY
Chattanooga and Milwaukee will meet for the fourth time on Friday with UTC holding a slight 2-1 edge in the all-time series. UTC defeated UWM in McKenzie Arena last season, 88-76, in the teams' first meeting since a home-and-home two-part series in 1990 (at UWM) and 1991 (at UTC). UWM captured a 72-69 win in the only matchup in Milwaukee on 11/26/1990.
 
WELCOME BACK, WELCOME BACK
- Florida (& VMI) transfer guard Trey Bonham saw his first action in a UTC uniform in Saturday's win (12/16) at Alabama A&M following a court decision that has suspended the NCAA's two-time transfer waiver rule through the 2023-24 spring season. Bonham scored 14 points & added three assists in the win.
 
BONHAM'S HOME DEBUT ONE FOR THE AGES
- Following Bonham's UTC overall debut at Alabama A&M last Saturday, he made his home debut on Tuesday night and did not disappoint. With the game tied 66-66 with 1.3 seconds left on the clock, Bonham received an inbounds pass from Tyler Millin, turned and fired off a successful game-winner behind the halfcourt line to give UTC a 69-66 victory. The No. 1 play on Sportscenter's Top 10 was the first McKenzie Arena buzzer-beating, game-winning shot for a Moc since Keegan Bell downed The Citadel with a corner three in 2010.
