ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF
CHATTANOOGA---Spring has sprung in the college golf world with the Chattanooga Mocs opening
coming through the turn to the second half of the 2022-23 season. It's starting place is English Turn Golf Club in New Orleans, La., for the Tulane Classic.
The Mocs head to the former home of the PGA Tour's stop in the Crescent City with a quintet ready to tackle the new year. It's led by senior
Dorota Zalewska who is taking the program's record book by storm.
Her current 72.10 scoring average has her own season record (72.53) deep in the rearview mirror at this point. She's also laying siege to the career mark held by Hall of Famer Emma de Groot '11 (74.58) with her total of 74.86 just over a quarter of a stroke away in third on the list. She's already toppled de Groot's career par or better total of 32 with 33 of her own as well as Emily McLennan's '16 10 cards in the 60s with 11.
She's not alone on the journey. Sophomores
Megan Docherty,
Carolina Hortian and
Nieves Martin join in along with freshman
Kera Healey. It's the first career start for Martin who nearly got her first collegiate top 10 tying for 11th last month at Georgia's Lady Bulldog Individual event.
The 18-team field descends on NOLA with an opening 18 Sunday followed by similar starts Monday and finally Tuesday. Live scoring and pairings, when available, are linked above.

- Zalewska is 9 under so far through 270 holes. She's working on the first under par season in school history.
