CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs and Campbell Fighting Camels met Sunday afternoon in Maclellan Gym. The Mocs got off to a slow start it could not overcome in a 24-13 loss.
Â
The Camels built a 15-3 lead through the first five bouts.
Weston Wichman started the comeback with a winning decision at 165.
Rocky Jordan and Matthew followed suit closing the gap to 15-13, but the Mocs could not finish it off.
Â
"I think Weston went out there to make a point not only to himself, but also his teammates," Coach Kyle Ruschell explained. "If you just move forward and are the aggressor, good things happen. That was a complete seven minutes…it was fun to watch.
Â
"I was more disappointed Friday night, a dual we won, because of how our guys competed. They went out there and created more action especially in our middle and upper weights. Those guys went out there with a purpose."
Â
The Mocs close out the duals season next weekend in Maclellan Gym. They take on Bellarmine Friday at 7 p.m., in a SoCon regular season finale before hosting Indiana on Senior Day Sunday at 2 p.m.
