CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis will host a pair of non-conference matches this weekend when they welcome Tennessee State on Friday and Murray State on Saturday with locations set for the Strang-Voges Tennis Center and UTC Tennis Center, respectively.
 
Chattanooga (5-1) is looking to build on back-to-back victories last weekend when the team downed EKU 6-1 and blanked Presbyterian 7-0 last Friday and Sunday. It'll be a tough test this weekend, but a weekend the team is excited about.
 
"The ladies are excited to host our matches this weekend. Doubles is still a work in progress and we look forward to improving each match," said head coach Chad Camper.
 
"Murray State, especially, has had a great season, so it will be great to lineup against another good program."
 
Chattanooga and Tennessee State meet for just the third time in each of the program's history with the last matchup coming in 2019, a 7-0 UTC victory. The Tigers (0-6) are looking for its first victory of the season after nearly capturing it last Friday in a tight 5-2 loss to MTSU on the road.
 
The Mocs and Racers of Murray State meet for the second-straight season and 20^th time overall. The matchup on Saturday is just the second meeting between the two schools since 2017 with UTC earning a 6-1 win last season. Murray State (4-2) is looking to snap a two-match skid at MTSU on Friday before heading to the Scenic City on Saturday.
