On this episode of Mocs on the Mic presented by SmartBank, host Chris Goforth talks with softball head coach
Frank Reed on the season and updates on Frost Stadium.
Â
The Mocs were picked to finish third in the SoCon by the league coaches, but that didn't stop a slew of preseason awards for the Mocs. Senior
Emily Coltharp was named the Southern Conference Preseason Player of the Year. She earned the honor in 2021 as well. She is joined on the all-conference first team by fellow senior
Brooke Parrott. Juniors
Kendall Forsythe,
Kailey Snell and
Adison Keylon were all named to the second team.
Due to renovations at Frost Stadium, the Mocs will not be on their home field until April. All home games, including the Chattanooga Challenge and Frost Classic, will be played in the quad at Warner Park on Fields #1 and #2.
