CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Chattanooga Mocs softball head coach
Frank Reed recorded his 700
th career win last Sunday in the Mocs 5-0 win against Detroit Mercy at the Gardner-Webb Red and Black Classic in Boiling Springs, N.C.

Reed is in his 22
nd season with the Mocs and is responsible for nearly 70 percent of the Mocs victories as a program. He has led Chattanooga to 15 Southern Conference championships and 12 NCAA Tournament appearances.

His softball career also includes 11 years at Chattanooga State where he tallied 476 wins with the Tigers. He career total is 1,176.

Reed won his 600
th game in a 2-0 shutout in 2018 against Tennessee State. He opened 2015 securing his 500
th win at the helm of Chattanooga with a win over George Washington and Evansville on opening day.

His 1,000
th career win was a Chattanooga win over Furman on April 11, 2015. He became the 28
th coach in the nation to reach 1,000 career wins and the 10
th winningest active coach in the country.

Reed currently ranks 60
th among active coaches in the NCAA for winningest record and 39
th by victories.

Chattanooga traveled to Florida for a 10-game road swing. Seven games will be played at the Madeira Beach Tournament then the Mocs will move further south to take on Florida Gulf Coast Thursday and Friday before heading home.
