Women's Tennis Features Four All-SoCon Selections, Opens SoCon Tournament on Thursday Against No. 4 Mercer

The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team saw postseason accolades across the board and will head into this weekend’s conference tournament as the No. 5 seed.

CHATTANOOGA --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team saw Jessie Young, Rozalie Dohnalova, Lucia Garrigues-Melendez and Caroline Gibbens earn postseason All-SoCon laurels between singles and doubles action ahead of this weekend's Southern Conference Tournament held at Champions Club in Chattanooga Thursday through Saturday.

Young and Dohnalova were tabbed to the All-SoCon Second Team in singles at the No. 1 and No. 4 positions, respectively. The Young and Gibbens duo were selected to the All-SoCon Doubles Second Team at No. 1 while Melendez-Garrigues and Dohnalova were the No. 2 tandem on the same squad.

"It has been a great season for the program and these ladies really deserve these awards," said head coach Chad Camper.

"Our doubles teams have done a great job all season. Jessie [Young] has had an amazing career and I am sure she is excited to continue to lead the team this weekend at the SoCon Tournament."
