Alyssa Lavdis is the Southern Conference Softball Pitcher of the Month for March the league office announced Friday.

Lavdis registered a 2.37 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 20 and 2/3 innings in March and posted a 3-0 record for the month. She threw a complete game against Detroit Mercy with a career-best 15 strikeouts, one shy of the school record, en route to head coach
Frank Reed's 700
th career win on March 5. She had seven strikeouts on March 11 in a complete game against Bucknell and threw one and 1/3 innings of relief at No. 14 Virginia Tech, allowing zero runs and striking out two.

She was named the SoCon Pitcher of the Week on March 6.

Chattanooga is 19-17 overall and 2-4 against the league. Next week the Mocs will be on the road at East Tennessee State.
