FLORENCE, Ala. --- The Chattanooga Mocs beach volleyball team dropped a par of 4-1 decisions to non-conference opponents New Orleans and North Alabama on a rainy Saturday afternoon in Florence, Ala.
 
Following the two losses, Chattanooga moves to 12-10 overall this season ahead of next weekend's competition. Both New Orleans and North Alabama improved to 16-13 overall this season after the victories.
 
The two wins on the day for Chattanooga came from the same grouping when Madelina Myers-Osband and Kaye Gresham posted wins at the No. 5 position. The duo earned a 20-22, 21-19, 15-13 comeback win against New Orleans and a 21-19, 25-27, 15-7 win against North Alabama.
 
Chattanooga returns to action next weekend, April 15-16, when it travels to Clarksville, Tenn., for a weekend of competition at Austin Peay. The Mocs will face the Govs and Jacksonville State twice each in a four-match non-conference set.
