SCHEDULE | TICKETS

CHATTANOOGA---Ready or not, here it comes. Week 3 brings the opening of Southern Conference play with a visit from The Citadel. It's the start of a 9-game, 9-week gauntlet through the Mocs league schedule before a bye week and the regular season finale at Alabama.

The Mocs are coming off a solid 27-20 win over Kennesaw State Saturday in Finley Stadium. It was a strong effort on both sides of the ball with Chase Artopoeous connecting on three TD passes with two to Sam Phillips and the other to Javin Whatley. The defense held the Owls below 300 yards of total offense including a program-low 102 on the ground.

The Citadel comes to town off a loss to Campbell. The Fighting Camels, who are receiving top 25 consideration, got off to a fast start and never looked back in the Bulldogs home opener.

The Bulldogs come to town in a similar position to seven other teams in the league including Chattanooga at 0-0 in league play. Western Carolina took the early lead in the standings with a 30-7 win over Samford last Saturday in a weather-delayed marathon.

"They've played two tough opponents in Georgia Southern and Campbell," Coach Rusty Wright shared. "They're a lot closer to being a good football team than what their record is, and what the scores indicate. You can see that on film.

"They'll present us some problems with some things they do. We'll have to be buttoned up, have a good week of practice and go play well because we'll get their best shot Saturday."

Kickoff Saturday is at 6 p.m. Tickets are on sale on GoMocs.com. It airs on ESPN+ as well as Nexstar stations in the Carolinas along with audio on the Mocs Sports Network.
