MATCH NOTES
Â
CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs are back on the road for three in a row beginning Saturday at Lindenwood. The wrestlers are 4-2 on the year and coming off their first top 10 in the Southern Scuffle since 2012 (8th).
Â
The matchup is the first between the two schools. Lindenwood is a newly promoted Division I program in Saint Charles, Mo. The Mocs look to continue what they've started over the opening six duals.
Â
It's been an aggressive bunch in large part. The squad has recorded the first takedown in 39 of 60 dual matches with a 36-3 mark on those occasions. The Mocs earned bonus points in 27 of 41 dual match wins averaging 4.17 points per dual match victory.
Â
"This weekend is about continuing to build on what we've learned in matches and the work in the room," Coach
Kyle Ruschell began. "That's being aggressive in our ties and dictating the action. It's not about who our opponent is; it's who we are and what we want to accomplish each time we step on the mat."
Â
The Mocs are kings of the quick start as well. Each match to date has started at 125 and the crew is 22-2 through six duals in the opening four classes (125-149).
Â
This weekend is followed by trips the following one to Duke (Jan. 19) and VMI (Jan. 21). Chattanooga returns home on Jan. 28 to match up with Davidson.

at Lindenwood – Jan. 13 – Saint Charles, Mo.
