ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF

CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf coaching staff didn't travel far to find their latest addition. All it took was a short drive across the Tennessee River to the Baylor School.

Coach Colette Murray announced Thursday the addition of Mattie Nall to the 2024-25 roster. Nall, a Scenic City native and senior at the Baylor School, comes with a pattern of success.

She was an All-State performer for the Red Raiders finishing in the top 10 of the TSSAA Division II-AA State Tournament in 2022 (4th) and 2023 (10th).

Nall also has an impressive resume on the summer circuit playing several years on the Sneds Tour. She registered three wins, all in June/July 2022, to go with 11 Top 10s. Within those top 10s, she claimed eight top 5 finishes while never finishing lower than 18th in an event dating back to 2018.

She also knows one of the squad's favorite home courses, Chattanooga Golf & Country Club, intimately. She won the club championship in 2022.

"We are excited to add a local to our squad," Coach Colette Murray explained. "I am happy that Mattie sees that the grass here in Chattanooga is very green and appreciates her hometown and wants to stick around. We are looking forward to watching her grow as a person and a player, and we feel lucky that she has chosen the Chattanooga Mocs Golf program to develop and allow her passion to flourish."

The Mocs return to the tee Feb. 23-25 at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational at Great Waters Club in Eatonton, Ga.
