MATCH NOTES
Â
CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs are back on the wrestling mat this week at home and on the road. The split starts Thursday evening in Maclellan Gym before heading to the Carolinas over the weekend.
Â
First up is The Citadel. The match starts Thursday at 5 p.m., in a doubleheader with the women's basketball squad (Wofford-7 p.m.) in McKenzie Arena. But first, the Mocs and Bulldogs square off in Big Mac.
Â
It's Guardian of the Galaxy night with theme posters and stickers given out pre-match as well as Youth Night. The matchup is a battle of teams in the top half of the league standings with Chattanooga tied for first at 2-0, 8-2 overall, and The Citadel a match back at 1-1, 9-3 for the season.
Â
The men then shift to Gardner-Webb. The Mocs and well, Bulldogs, take the mat in Boiling Springs, N.C. The noon meeting sees the group hoping to be going for another weekend sweep. The current 5-match win streak is on the line as the 8-2 start is the best the program's had since 2006-07 (10-0).
