UTC STEVE BARAS RESULTS
 
CHATTANOOGA (October 21, 2024) – The Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team hosted yet another successful UTC Steve Baras Fall Invite this past weekend where the three-day event from Friday through Sunday was played between two locations including nearby Champions Club and the on-campus UTC Tennis Center.
 
Chattanooga featured a combined four flight champions between singles and doubles action in the event and a second place and three fourth-place finishes. In singles, Ryan Mudre (Flight B) and Sebastian Johnson (Flight F) each captured titles in their respective flights while Gabriel Castillo (Flight A) placed second, and Cortland Grove (Flight A) and Matej Laibl (Flight B) each earned fourth-place laurels.
 
In doubles, the tandem of Castillo and Ethan Carr posted three-straight victories to earn the Flight B first-place title with all three wins coming over in-state representatives from Tennessee State and Lipscomb. Carter Ramthun and Walker Valentine captured the Flight C doubles title with a pair of wins over two Austin Peay teams while Johnson and Laibl combined for a fourth-place finish in the same flight.
