CHATTANOOGA (October 28, 2024) --- With Halloween festivities and basketball season on deck, the Chattanooga Mocs men's and women's basketball programs are set to host its annual "Boo & Gold" fan event tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29 inside McKenzie Arena with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. ET.
The event is
FREE and
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC as kids are encouraged to attend in their best Halloween costumes! Trick-or-treating around the concourse will kick off the night's festivities and will run from 5:30-6:25 p.m. before basketball activities begin.
Team introductions will immediately follow the trick-or-treat fun before diving in to basketball activities including a three-point contest, dunk contest and more. In addition, there will be student challenges and events with giveaways and prizes at stake as well as performances from the Spirit squads and UTC bands.
This year's event features a special "local celebrity" guest emcee as Local 3 News' own Sports Director, Ben Bobick, will serve as the official on-court host throughout the night. The showcase is aimed at connecting and engaging the community to both programs as the 2024-25 season sit just a week away.

The official home opener for the women's squad is set for Monday, November 4 against Shorter (Ga.) while Thursday, November 14 features a doubleheader (WBB vs. Troy – 6 p.m.) including the men's home opener against Morehead State at 8 p.m.
