SCHEDULE | ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF 
 
CHATTANOOGA---Tournament No. 2 is on the docket this week for the Chattanooga Mocs men's golf team. Next up is the Cullan Brown Collegiate hosted by Kentucky at Lexington Country Club. The 2-day, 54-hole event opens play with 36 holes Monday before Tuesday's final 18.
 
Qualifying was fierce for this with three staying in the lineup from week one. Braedon Wear is joined again by Camden Braidech and Ethan Whitaker, while Carson Johnson and Nick Etherton slot in. That quintet has 43 career starts with 32 going to Wear.
 
There are also three individuals in the van. Garrett Engle and Dalton Chuba started opening week but are playing on their own this week. Dalton Burts, a transfer from Augusta, is making his first Mocs appearance.
 
Chattanooga is paired with Kentucky and Kennesaw State Monday morning in a 9 a.m., shotgun start. The pairing starts on holes 1-3.

Notes

• First entry in the Cullan Brown Invite.
• Last time the Mocs played a tournament in Kentucky? 2012. That was a clean sweep of team & medalist honors at the NCAA Bowling Green Regionals. PGA Tour pro Stephan Jaeger '12 cruised through the field with a 13-under 203 total, a school record at the time, while the team jumped the likes of No. 3 UCLA & N0. 15 Texas A&M.
• 3rd season under Coach Blaine Woodruff, 27th event. Program has six team wins and four medalists over that stretch.
• Carson Johnson is making his first start of the year. The Mocs have won two of his three starts un Woodruff and four of five events he appeared in whether in the lineup or as an individual.
• Braedon Wear has the lone UTC collegiate medalist honor on the current roster. It was a 10-under 203 effort in the 2021 J.T. Poston Invite.
• Camden Braidech led the squad in the opening event. The transfer from Liberty fired a 3-under 68 over the final round to move 35 spots up the leaderboard into the top 20 (T17).
