CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs wrestling team completes its 2024 on the road this weekend at the Norman Duals. A tri-meet awaits with matches against CSU Bakersfield, Southeast Community College and No. 21 Oklahoma.
 
It starts with the Roadrunners at 11 a.m., Eastern time. That rolls into a meeting with Southeast before closing with the Sooners. The action on Mat 1 is broadcasting on ESPN+ with each OU match featured. The schedule:

The Mocs enter at 0-5 with three matches against top 25 opponents and two more considered among the top 35 in analytical ratings. Nothing changes with the Sooners ranked and Roadrunners also top 30 in various algorithms.
 
They'll look to continue to build on the recent competitive edge to start matching with results.
 
"I am excited to see how we compete this weekend," Coach Kyle Ruschell said. "I believe this trip starting with Monday night has really brought this team together. We need to come out with energy and excitement for every individual match. The guys competing can feel the energy from their teammates.
 
"We need to wrestle like Monday night. Wrestle a full 7 minutes and give ourselves the opportunity to score points."

• OU Is fourth ranked team to open the season. Most since five in 2017-18.
• A win for Castillo would be the 30th dual triumph (29-9). He's 43-19 overall for his career.
• Desiante is one triumph away from 30 for his career as a sophomore. He's currently 29-16 with a 17-8 dual mark.
• Boarman boasts an .810 career dual winning percentage (17-4).
