CHATTANOOGA 5, SAINT FRANCIS 0
Chattanooga scored three runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh for a 5-0 shutout against Saint Francis Saturday afternoon at Farris Field in Conway, Ark.

The shutout was the fifth for the Mocs this season and second straight after earning a 5-0 decision against the host Bears Friday evening.

Olivia Lipari led off the top of the sixth with a walk. Zoe Wright, pinch hitting, was also walked and the two moved up a bag on a wild pitch. With two outs, Anna Dovey drew a walk to load the bases. Addy Keylon plated the first run of the game with a fourth walk in the inning. Raven Jones came in to pinch hit and also drew a walk to plate Wright for a 2-0 lead.

Kailey Snell, the Mocs ninth batter of the inning, hit a single to the pitcher, sending Dovey across the plate to make it 3-0 before the Red Flashes got out of the inning.

With one out in the seventh, Kendall Forsythe was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a Kaili Phillips sharply hit single to short. After a pitching change, Baileigh Pitts reached on a fielding error to load the bases. Forsythe scored on a fielder's choice to second and Phillips took third.

Jayce Purdy stole second scoring Phillips for a 5-0 lead. However, she was called out initially to end the inning. After a brief discussion by the umpiring crew, she was determined to be safe to make the run count.

Phillips was 3-for-4. Olivia Lipari drew three walks in the game. Addy Keylon was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk. Snell drove in a run as did Purdy.

The Mocs had five hits and drew seven walks. Alyssa Lavdis picked up the win, her second of the year, striking out four and giving up two hits.

CHATTANOOGA 5, CENTRAL ARKANSAS 4
After two lead changes and a pair of ties, the Mocs came away with a 5-4 win over host Central Arkansas in the second game Saturday at Farris Field.

Back-to-back hits put Central Arkansas up 1-0 in the bottom of the first.

Camryn Cernuto led off the third with a single to left field and was sacrificed to second on a bunt by Lipari. The Mocs grabbed the lead in the next at bat with a two-run homer to left field by Forsythe, giving UTC a 3-1 lead.

With two outs in the third, Pitts doubled deep to left center and scored on a single from Purdy to left center, giving the Mocs a 4-1 cushion. That went away in the bottom of the inning.

Back-to-back singles started the third for the Bears. A ground out to second advanced both runners and Central Arkansas scored on a wild pitch to make it 4-2. Two walks loaded the bases and two more plated a pair of runs to tie the game 4-4.

In the top of the fifth with Phillips and Pitts on base, Anna Dovey drove a single down the line to left field, scoring Phillips from second for the game winning run.
