CHATTANOOGA (April 17, 2024) --- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team featured two All-Southern Conference selections in
Rozalie Dohnalova and
Madlena Orlova in the league's postseason award list as the conference office announced its winners on Wednesday afternoon.
The award winners were announced during the annual SoCon Tournament team reception dinner held on site at Champions Club in the Rivermont area of town. The championship event runs from April 18-20/21 with the No. 6 seeded UTC women's team kicking off action against No. 3 Samford tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Rozalie Dohnalova – First Team (singles)
Dohnalova earned herself on the All-SoCon First Team (singles) after finishing the 2024 campaign 14-7 overall in dual singles while ending with a 4-3 tally in SoCon play, all at the No. 1 position. It marks Dohnalova's third All-SoCon recognition after earning second team laurels in both singles and doubles last season.
Madlena Orlova – All-Freshman
Orlova was tabbed to the SoCon's All-Freshman Team after ending her rookie campaign a combined 15-12 between singles and doubles play in dual formats including a 3-3 record in SoCon singles play at No. 2. It's the third all-freshman selection for the program in the past four seasons.

Chattanooga (8-13) enters the weekend as the No. 6 seed and will face No. 3 seed Samford in the quarterfinal round on Thursday. It's the first matchup between the Mocs and Bulldogs in SoCon Tournament play since 2016-17 which resulted in a 4-2 Samford win.
The winner of the match will advance to the semifinal round and will face the winner of No. 2 Furman and No. 7 Western Carolina. ETSU enters the weekend as the No. 1 seed while the middle ground features No. 4 Wofford and No. 5 Mercer.
