CHATTANOOGA (October 27, 2025) – After a weekend full of action, the Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team concluded the UTC Steve Baras Invite/SoCon Fall Championships on a rainy Sunday afternoon at Champions Club in the nearby Rivermont area in Chattanooga.
 
The three-day event featured all Southern Conference members as the programs competed in its annual "Fall Championships" under the UTC Steve Baras Invite title. The SoCon programs battled in both singles and doubles with the singles featuring a 16-player bracket and doubles with an eight-team bracket.
 
Addison Iacono led the Mocs this weekend with a title match appearance in singles play, picking up three victories on her way to the championship match. Iacono defeated Wofford's Quinn Bernthal (6-1, 3-6, 10-1) in the first round, Mercer's Marina De Diego Quinones (7-6 (8), 6-4) in the quarterfinals, and Western Carolina's Mariya Dobreva (6-2, 6-3) in the semifinals.
 
In doubles, Iacono and Rufaro Magarira also earned a runner-up finish after posting a pair of wins in the quarter and semifinal rounds to notch their spot in the championship match.
