History
It's the Newness of It All
The Mocs have had a lot of new thrown in this season. That happens when you lose 19 starters, but there were a lot of players stepping into those roles who had been here and maybe had a start or two previously under their belts. However, that hasn't always been the case. In fact, 27 different Mocs have made their first career start in Blue & Gold this season including six freshmen.
What a Combo
It's like the Mocs super-sized their order when it comes to the running game. The main combination of
Justus Durant (2,319 career yards) and
Ryan Ingram (2,534) have both exceeded 2k in career yardage and 20 in career scores. Their combined total heading into Saturday is 4,853 yards and 46 rush TDs.
Freshman Poise
The true freshman duo of
KJ Sejour at cornerback and
Kamari Todd at slot safety have filled their starting roles quite nicely after injuries to upperclassmen. Sejour leads the league and is top 20 nationally in passes defensed, while Todd quietly goes about his business growing into the role every week. The Mocs defense is the only one in the FCS with two freshmen starters at the back end.
3 Notes to Know

- First season on record with five different quarters of 21 or more points: 1st (Stetson), 3rd (Stetson), 4th (ETSU), 4th (Samford) & 2nd (Furman).
- Season-high 38:26 in time of possession in the win over Furman. Mocs had the ball for all but 7:58 in the second half (22:02). A big part of that was the defense allowing just four first downs after the opening 30 minutes.
