CHATTANOOGA (December 19, 2025) --- The Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team will look to end its non-conference slate on the right note with a Sunday afternoon road contest at Alabama A&M inside the Event Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. (ET) / 2 p.m. (CT) on SWAC-TV.
 
Chattanooga (5-7) aims to snap a two-game skid that most recently featured a 79-64 setback at Bellarmine on Wednesday, a game that saw the Mocs lead by nine at the break before the squad was outscored by a wide margin in the second half. The contest at Alabama A&M (6-5) will mark the non-conference finale before the team turns its attention to the SoCon slate beginning on New Year's Day at UNCG.

Mocs Falter in Second Half at Bellarmine
• Chattanooga (5-7) held Bellarmine (5-6) to just 27 first-half points and led by nine at the break before falling 79-64 on Wednesday... UTC was outscored 52-28 in the second half... allowed the Knights to shoot 71.4% (15-21 FG) in the half... Mocs shot just 25% (8-32 FG) over the final 20 minutes.
 
Scouting Alabama A&M
• Alabama A&M (6-5) dropped an 80-66 decision at SEC-member Ole Miss on Wednesday in Oxford... three different Bulldogs reached double figures in scoring... outscored the Rebels 37-36 over the final 20 minutes of action.
• Alabama A&M has already faced a pair of common opponents of Chattanooga this season in Tennessee State and North Alabama... AAMU defeated TSU by a wide 80-53 margin at home on December 3... defeated UNA 68-60 at home on December 15.
• Alabama A&M has played to a perfect 6-0 record at home this season... 4-0 against DI opponents at home this season... carries a W7 streak in home games dating back to last season.
 
Halftime Lead Disappears in Wednesday's Loss
• Chattanooga saw its nine-point (36-27) halftime lead disappear in Wednesday's loss at Bellarmine... just the 12th defeat under Dan Earl when leading at the break (now 53-12)... 5-2 this season when leading at half.
 
Mixing and Matching Starting Five Rotations                                                                     
• Chattanooga rolled out its eighth different starting five of the season Wednesday at BU... one of three DI teams this season with 8+ (Charleston So. 12; ECU 8)... second time in the Dan Earl era with eight or more.
• Chattanooga was one of 22 DI teams in 2023-24 with eight different starting fives... one of just seven DI programs to win with 7+ that season.
 
Glass Needs Cleaning
• Chattanooga lost the rebounding battle 41-33 (-8) at Bellarmine on Wednesday... all seven losses this season feature the Mocs on the wrong side of the rebound total... six of the seven include a -8 or more difference.
